Chris Amos

Chris Amos is a Partner at Melin Consultants and has been with the company since 2007. Over this time, he has played a key role in the growth and development of the business, combining strong technical expertise with a practical, client-focused approach.

Chris oversees the Site Services Department, managing the delivery of residential and commercial air tightness testing, thermographic surveys and ventilation testing. His work ensures that projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard, supporting compliance with building regulations and performance targets across a wide range of developments.

Alongside his technical responsibilities, Chris is actively involved in business development. He manages new enquiries, pricing and quotations, supports the company website, and continuously explores new opportunities to expand and develop the services offered by the business.

Chris particularly values the variety his role brings, from working directly on-site with clients and project teams through to developing new business relationships and identifying innovative areas of growth within the sector.

Outside of work, Chris is a proud father to three boys and is actively involved in grassroots football, both playing and coaching within the local community. He also plays an active role in Drefach Community Sports Club, supporting its ongoing development and the opportunities it provides for young players and local families.

Alongside this, Chris has recently completed a major personal home improvement project, which included a significant extension and a range of building performance upgrades. These improvements incorporated solar PV, an air source heat pump, fabric and U-value enhancements, and improved insulation standards to increase overall energy efficiency. As part of the project, he also created a natural wildlife pond to encourage biodiversity and support local ecosystems.

This hands-on experience has further strengthened Chris’s practical understanding of low-carbon design, retrofit principles and building performance, closely aligning with the services and approach delivered by Melin Energy Consultants Ltd.
